Sebastian Stark (James Woods) is a Los Angeles lawyer who made a name for himself in criminal defense,
but when confronted with a client who used him to escape responsibility for a laughingly admitted murder, the lawyer suffers
a crisis of identity and vulnerability. To avoid ever being used by such crooks again, he switches sides and gets a
job in the prosecutor's office. It's somewhat less remunerative but it offers the chance to hit back at the
class of people he now sees got the better of him. And if there's one thing Stark doesn't like, it's somebody
getting the better of him. Woods appears to be having the time of his life with these scripts, which offer the sharpest
dialog currently on the tube.
